About Us
Generations of Excellence
Throughout the 1970’s Don Munro started delivering materials to and offering small landscape services to homeowners on the weekends. He worked for GM and parked his dump truck at the gas station around the corner. He often took his son Phil along with him on his weekend jobs. Fast forward to the mid 1980’s. After serving for the United States Navy and working for a few home building contractors Phil decided he wanted to go out on his own. In 1988 he bought his first walk behind mower and teamed up with his brother Bob, starting the company Munro’s Landscaping. In 1991 Bob moved to Florida where he opened another Munro’s Landscaping and Phil changed the name to Munro Landscaping & Lawn Maintenance Inc. Phil’s son Jon grew up around the industry his entire life, so naturally after graduating high school he teamed up with his dad to continue the legacy. Jon continued his education while working full time to receive his Associates degree in Small Business. Jon is a certified paver installer through Interlocking Concrete Paver Institute (ICPI) and has his Segmental Retaining Wall certification through the National Concrete Masonry Association (NCMA).
